Classes for People with Disabilities

The course

This class is specifically designed for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and physical or sensory impairments. Many of our students are supported by the NDIS.

Students begin by working on scenes, delving into the characters and their motivations. They then move on to rehearsing these scenes. Finally, the scenes are filmed in our three-camera studio, and students have the opportunity to review and discuss their performances.

For students aspiring to work as actors, we provide support throughout their journey. For all participants, the class offers a nurturing environment to develop acting skills while promoting personal growth and community involvement.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Wadawurrung peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands we gather on at Screen Actors. We recognise and celebrate their connection to Country. Sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and emerging.
